Mauritius is situated in the Indian Ocean, approximately 2400 kilometres off the South East Coast of Africa. The island, which is of volcanic origin, covers an area of 1,865 square kilometres or 720 square miles. Coral reefs surround most of the coast except the south.

Port Louis
Port Louis is the capital of Mauritius and is on the port of the Indian Ocean. It is the nation's largest city and its economic and administrative center. The city was founded in 1735 by Bertrand Francois Mahe de La Bourdonnais, governor of the French colony on Mauritius (then called Ile de France). Here one can explore vast and colorful market.

There were old colonial buildings lining the streets and shops selling almost everything from a variety of fabrics to spices and even books.

Casela Bird Park
The beauty of Casela Bird Park is amazing. One can hear the chirping of the birds in the park from miles. There are over 140 species of birds in the park.

Mahebourg
The entire place is dotted by various landmarks of a bygone era. There is a Naval Museum, in an ancient building, built in 1771. As one explores the various sections of the museum,one feels getting transferred to some battle field.

Day 1 :
At 08.30 hrs depart Arusha for Lake Manyara arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. After lunch depart for Ngorongoro Crater arriving in the early evening. The lodges are situated on the crater rim with spectacular views down into the crater.

Day 2 :
After breakfast at the lodge proceed on a full day crater tour with picnic lunch. In the crater, which is considered the "Eighth wonder of the world" you can see a spectacular concentration of wildlife including the big five. The crater has a variety of habitats including grassland, forest and swamp. The lake on the crater floor is home to flamingoes and many other species of birds. Return to the lodge in the early evening.

Day 3 :
After breakfast depart for Serengeti National Park arriving in time for lunch at the Lobo lodge. In the afternoon proceed on a game drive to explore the world famous park. This park is famous for large concentration of plains game such as zebra wildbeeste and gazelle. Return from the game drive in the early evening.

Day 4 :
After breakfast proceed on a morning game drive returning to the lodge in the time for lunch. In the afternoon another game drive can be taken to explore this world famous park. Return to the lodge in the early evening.

Day 5 :
A full day of game drives with a picnic lunch, exploring the Serengeti National Park. Return to the lodge in the early evening.

Day 6 :
After breakfast depart for Ngorongoro Crater, via Olduvai Gorge, site for archaeological findings, where traces of pre-historic people dating back to 3.5 million years have been discovered. Lunch is at a lodge at the crater. In the afternoon proceed to Lake Manyara arriving in the early evening.

Day 7 :
After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara National park with a picnic lunch. This park is famous for it's tree climbing lions and vast flocks of flamingoes. After lunch proceed to Tarangire National Park arriving in the evening.

Day 8 :
After breakfast proceed on a game drive returning to the lodge in time for lunch. Tarangire is renowned for it's dense wildlife population which is most spectacular between June and December. After lunch depart for Arusha which is reached in the early evening.
