Day 1: Arrive Beijing (D)

Arrive this afternoon in Beijing the capital of the People's Republic of China, which is over 3,000 years old. You are welcomed at the airport and escorted to check in Hotel. Dinner at Local Indian Restaurant

Day 2: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City & Summer Palace (B L D)

Start your tour this morning with visit to the Tiananmen Square , the largest public square in the world and the Forbidden City , the 250-acre palace containing more than 9,000 rooms. Closed to the common people for centuries, it was only opened to the public in 1949. Later, explore the Summer Palace, the retreat of China's royal families for over 2,000 years and enjoy your cruise on the shimmering waters of Kunming Lake. Tonight you will enjoy Acrobatics show . Day 3: Great Wall Excursion (B L D)

Buffet breakfast at Hotel Embark on your day excursion to the Great wall, stopping enroute at the iconic Beijing 2008 Olympic Center, the Bird's Nest & Water Cube for photography opportunity. The highlight of your stay in this ancient capital is a visit to the Great Wall of Ju Yong Guan. It is easy to see why the Great Wall built 2,300 years ago and extending 3,750 miles, can be seen by astronauts from space! And Jade Factory . Afternoon arrange factory visit. Day 4: Beijing/Shanghai—2Hours (B L D)

Buffet breakfast at Hotel Morning visit the Temple of Heaven , possibly the country's most popular symbol. It was believed to be the closest place to heaven and was where the emperors would communicate with the gods. Upon Shanghai, Driver to visit the famous Bund , the wide, tree-lined avenue along the Huangpo River and the former “Wall Street” of foreign powers Later visit Xintiandi, famous shopping, eating and entertainment district of Shanghai. Day 5: Shanghai Sightseeing (B L D)

DAY 01

AdelsmanTours representative will meet Tour Participants as they emerge from Customs at Narita Airport . Group will travel by trains to our Hotel in Tokyo . After check-in we will go on a sightseeing outing to Yanaka Ginza; Yushima Shrine; Ueno Park ; and Ameyoko Marketplace. There will be opportunities for participants to eat dinner along the way. Then we will ride a train back to our Hotel.

DAY02

After breakfast at our Hotel we will check out and take a train to Yokohama , where we will drop off our luggage at our next Hotel. Then it is a short train ride to Kamakura . Our first stop will be Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. As we begin the ascent of the steps leading up to the Shrine, we will pass the remains of a gingko tree that recently fell over in a strong wind. The tree was believed to be more than 1000 years old. This was where a warlord was beheaded one dark night by an assassin who hid behind the tree. Heading back to the train station we will follow a side street lined with some wonderful shops.

Then we will take a short train ride to Hase, the site of the world-famous Great Buddha (Daibutsu), and Hase-dera, with its intriguing nooks and crannies. There will be opportunities for lunch along the way. To complete the day we head back to Yokohama for a tour of China Town , the old Yamate District with the Foreigners Cemetery and a beautiful view of the Bay, and the Motomachi shopping area. After dinner we will retire to our Hotel.

DAY03

Checking out of our Hotel after breakfast we will ride the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to Kyoto , where the Emperor lived for 1,000 years. If we are lucky, we may see Mt. Fuji from the train. We will leave our luggage at our Hotel and then take a tour of several of Kyoto's famous sites, including: Kiyomizu-dera in its lovely setting on the mountainside; Yasaka Shrine, credited with healing powers; the Gion District (perhaps we will see some Geisha); and the shops along Shijo-dori. We will find dinner along the way.

DAY04

A train will take us to ancient Nara , the Emperor's home before Kyoto . Todai-ji Temple is said to be the world's largest wooden building. It houses the largest bronze Buddha in Japan. Next we will visit Grand Kasuga Shrine with its thousands of stone lanterns. Of course, the sacred deer in Nara Park will be begging to be fed. On the way back to Kyoto We will stop at Fushima-Inari Shrine, famous for the countless orange Torii gates creating the impression of tunnels on the mountainside paths. Our final night will be back in Kyoto , perhaps with some free time to explore.

DAY05

We will need to eat breakfast early in order to catch the train to Kansai Airport . Then it is time to say goodbye!
